Prep & Care

• Before first use: Wash and dry the inserts 2–3 times on hot. The fibers shrink, fluff up and become more absorbent, and the inserts get shorter and thicker. The sizing allows for this shrinkage.
• Storing: Keep wet and dirty diapers in a diaper pail. Shake inserts out of pocket diapers into the pail after a change.
• Washing: Wash in hot or warm water on a regular cycle with the amount of detergent recommended on the packaging for your load size. Too much or too little detergent can cause odors or irritate baby's skin. Add an extra rinse for heavily soiled loads.
• Drying: Tumble dry on any temperature or line dry.
• Avoid: Fabric softener and dryer sheets (they coat the fibers and reduce absorbency), bleach (it breaks down the fibers), and baking soda or vinegar in the wash.
• Stains: Lay stained inserts in the sun, the gentlest and most effective way to lift stains.
